Twine on the mind

Hello everyone! Sorry its been so long my internet has not been very good as of late. So i don't know if you heard but SRM has announced solid color twine and it looks beautiful. I cant wait to get my hands on some! I couldn't get twine off my mind so i made a project using my favorite natural twine. I wrapped it around an SRM tube and then sprayed different colors on it. I took pictures from a couple different places so you could see all around the tube.

By the way since my internet was working a couldn't post my embossing powder post last Friday but hopefully i can get it up b tomorrow.

Also starting next Friday i will start featuring products and show you how to use them. I will be calling it my "feature Friday's." Next Friday i will be featuring embossing powders. I will show you how to emboss on paper, metal, wood, and even an SRM tube!

See you next week!

Growing Up

My baby is turning a 1 year in July so I decided to make a baby's first year mini album. I used envelopes as the base of my album and what I loved about using the envelopes was I can put more pictures or other keepsakes inside of them. To hold my whole album together I decided to put the envelopes in SRM glassine bags and tied the whole thing with SRM strawberry twine.

I know it is May but my baby is not 10 months yet so thats why there is no pic for May.

The ones with no pics will prob change a little bit once I have pictures to put on them.

Seeing Stars

So my baby turns 1 in July and being the crafter I am I decided to make her a birthday banner instead of buying one. I am still in the processes of making it but i wanted to share with you this cute star I will be putting on the banner. I made the star using twine and glossy accents. I think it turned out great and I am excited to keep working on the rest of the banner. The paper behind the star is October Afternoon's Cakewalk line which is the paper I will be using for the banner. Hopefully I will finish in a couple weeks.

Natural Twine

Hi everyone! I just bought some SRM natural twine and I thought I would share some cards I made with it.
I made three cards and each card i used a different technique with the twine.

With "it's the little things that count" card I sprayed the Twine using Heidi Swapp sprays. I also sprayed a strand using a couple different colors to give it a tye dye effect but havent made anything with it yet.

The "life is good" card i inked the twine using Tim Holtz distress inks. I loved the way the inked twine looks!

and for the last card i just left it natural. The natural twine is simple but adds a wonderful touch to projects.

Have a great Wednesday!

P.S. I am working a cute mini album so stay tuned.
